2026 Exam Overview
A‑level and BTEC Level 3 external assessments for the Summer 2026 series will take place during the national exam window from May to June 2026.
All students must also remain available for the JCQ contingency day on Wednesday 24 June 2026, which is held in case any exams need to be rescheduled due to national or local disruption.
A‑level written exams run throughout the main summer period, while BTEC Level 3 qualifications include a mixture of written exams and set‑task assessments, some of which may also take place in the January 2026 assessment window.
